Part of the Broadway Theater District in DTLA, the Orpheum opened in 1926 as part of an Orpheum vaudeville circuit. Since its renovation in 1989, it has been one of the most active theaters along Broadway hosting headlining music and comedy acts, sometimes even being used for tapings for big time comedy specials.
