There is a long storied history to the bar/restaurant/theater that is now called El Cid that includes being a silent movie theater, a prison themed restaurant, and a cabaret theater stretching all the way back to the 1910s. From the 60s on, it has been a Flamenco themed bar (complete with live Flamenco dance shows), but also host to tons of music including The Doors. Now, there’s a wide variety of events including screenings, live bands, and, every now and again, comedy.
