The latest wonderful meta pop culture mash-up for John Moe to cook up on Wits is a doozy as he got people’s submissions for a “Bad Gaiman Challenge”, where people do their worst written impression of Neil Gaiman’s prose, and had none other than Neil Gaiman read it aloud.

Despite it being the most exaggerated that Gaiman-esque passages could be, Neil’s voice makes it all the better. Watch/listen here.

John Moe’s Makes a Book Out of Pop Culture Correspondences “Dear Luke, We Need To Talk. Darth”

We posted a clip from Wits with John Moe earlier today and, if you liked that, you’ll probably like his book of letters “written” by pop culture’s biggest figures from one to the other, Dear Luke, We Need To Talk. Darth. As the title suggests, there are letters like Darth Vader writing a letter to Luke Skywalker about something important that he wants to tell him.

So, it’s like all those books of war letters, but made perfectly for the pop culture obsessed 21st century and that’s why we think you should give it a read.

Wits host John Moe has devised yet another diabolical game for his guests to play, which is just really an “either-or” situation, but making the choice, supposedly impossible for having to choose between the lesser of two absurdities.

Watch Paul F. Tompkins, Peter Sagal, and Open Mike Eagle have to choose things like whether to get rid of comedy and pizza.

Wits Announces Fall 2013 Lineup Featuring Dave Hill, Maria Bamford, Jim Gaffigan, David Cross, and More

Wits, the true blue variety show taped, broadcast, etc. from the Fitzgerald Theater in Minnesota just announced the line-up for their series of shows coming this fall and it almost reads like a festival line-up.

In addition to have great musical acts such as Aimee Mann, Ted Leo, Yo La Tengo, and Busdriver, Paul F. Tompkins, Tim Heidecker, Dave Hill, Jim Gaffigan, Maria Bamford, David Cross, Ellie Kemper, and more are set to be part of various Wits episodes often in pretty great mini radioplays.

Luckily, they do tape much of the show and put it on YouTube like this clip of Maria Bamford and Bill Corbett & Kevin Murphy from Rifftrax spin on the Wizard of Oz.
