Welcome to the Dollhouse came to theaters in 1995 and was darkly funny agent provocateur Todd Solondz’s breakthrough work.
Coming on a score of years later, Solondz’s latest work “Weiner Dog” will have many stories interconnected by a dachshund, but will also feature Welcome to the Dollhouse character Dawn Weiner.
Given the gradual rise of comedic drama, Solondz’s latest might fit in perfectly in the landscapes of film and television now.
