‘They Came Together’ Is The Meta Romantic Comedy You’ve Been Waiting For
David Wain’s satirical romantic comedy that pokes fun at the very motifs and conventions that define romantic comedies as a genre is pretty damn hilarious.

In promotion of the meta romantic comedy They Came Together, Paul Rudd, frequent non-meta romantic comedy star, revealed that he was a little nervous about burning bridges with taking on a role in the film.

For those of you tired of the rom com genre being so repetitive that merely A-list stars take turns having roles in different locales where two “unlikely” people fall in love, then David Wain and Michael Showalter’s They Came Together starring Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler might just be for you.
