The days of The Colbert Report are coming to a close and thus, it was inevitable that Jon Stewart would once again face his former employee Stephen Colbert on The Colbert Report.

It just took The Colbert Report ending and Jon to direct Rosewater to have this happen. Still, it’s always fun to see the two edges of the same side of the same coin go at it.

Watch parts one and two of Jon Stewart’s appearance on The Colbert Report here.

John Oliver Fills in Once More for Jon Stewart at The Daily Show

Jon Stewart’s directorial debut with Rosewater opens today and, as you could imagine, he used last night’s episode of The Daily Show to promote it.

With that being the case, Stewart felt it would be tasteless to be also promoting while hosting. So, he was just in luck that one John Oliver, who has had filled in for him before, had just wrapped season one of Last Week Tonight at HBO and was free to fill in.

Watch Oliver sit once more at The Daily Show desk right here.

Jon Stewart Q&A For Premiere of “Rosewater” With Stephen Colbert Will Be Broadcast Into Theaters

Jon Stewart’s directorial debut Rosewater would be remiss without some sort of event attached to the movie’s premiere.

Luck would have that on Nov. 13th at 7:30PM EST (and tape delay for 7:30PM MT/CT/PST), Stewart will be chatting with his satirical news program cohort Stephen Colbert and it will be broadcast into theaters via Fathom Events.

While Rosewater isn’t at all a comedy, we’re sure that Stewart and Colbert in conversation will be a whole lot of fun, perhaps reminiscent of John Mulaney recently interviewing Dan Mintz.
