Sheer, silly absurdity is one of the best ways to get a respite from everything else right now. Puns are one of the best ways to get to that sort of absurd fun and PUNDERDOME, as you might guess from the name, is nothing but puns.

Going on for nearly a decade in NYC, PUNDERDOME was started “…by a ‘Rodney Dangerfield impersonator’ and his alleged daughter (Fred and comedian Jo Firestone)”. Now, they’re thankfully doing their first virtual live-stream show, which means it’ll get to expand its reach all over the country (and globe).

This first virtual PUNDERDOME is set for Thu. Jun. 4th at 4PM PT/7PM. RSVP w/donation to get the live-stream link here.

Of the many shows that the wonderful Jo Firestone is involved in NYC, one of the more noted ones is Punderdome 3000, created by her and her father Fred Firestone.

Now, Jo and Fred are sharing a bit of their wordplay magic with the world by making a Punderdome card game that challenges people’s pun making skills.

For those who need something besides Cards Against Humanity or Apples to Apples, this might be for you.

Colbert really makes this desk piece way more fun than you think it’s going to be.
