Leave it to modern auteur Yorgos Lanthimos to inject some absurdist excitement into an 18th Century England period piece.

Every new bit of The Favourite that we see has only more excited for some heightened bickering between Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz for the affections of the Queen, seemingly played as a kooky gem by Olivia Colman.

See the latest trailer here, then look for The Favourite in limited release on November 23rd, then worldwide in January of 2019.

Amazon seems to have had plenty of success with being the exclusive U.S. streaming service for the critically acclaimed Catastrophe, which airs months before it comes stateside in the UK.

With that in mind, Fleabag from Phoebe Waller-Bridge will follow the same model as it has already premiered on BBC3 last month and will start streaming here in the U.S. on Friday, September 16th on Amazon Prime.

The series centers on Waller-Bridge as Fleabag, “an unfiltered, dry-witted woman who hurls herself at modern living in London as she deals with the loss of her best friend, a breakup, and financial troubles at her café.” You might be delighted to know that Olivia Colman as well as American comedy star Brett Gelman are in the cast as well.

The series from Will Sharpe made its Seeso debut just yesterday.

The latest UK comedy export comes in the form of the dark comedy Flowers that centers on a eccentric, dysfunctional family. From the looks of it, there’s a nice otherworldly mood that the show is set in that takes its dark comedy label to another level.

This is only one of several British comedies that you should check out on Seeso by the way.

Seeso is keeping their end of the bargain up by continuing to roll out new, enticing comedy content.

Their latest offering will be their very own UK dramedy series Flowers from Will Sharpe and starring Olivia Colman and Julian Barnatt. The trailer shows a highly stylized, dark comedy following a family barely keeping it together that might be worth you checking out if you already have Seeso or spend the $3 a month so sign up.

Look for episodes to start streaming on Seeso on May 5th.
