One of the things that might be perfect to see right after you’ve filed your taxes under the wire might be a murderous, demonically possessed dog living in a seemingly innocent town.
Luckily, you’ve got that coming in spades with the second season of Adult Swim’s Mr. Pickles premiering tonight at midnight.
Get ready for more adventures of a typically cute looking, but secretly demonic dog.
Adult Swim’s Mr. Pickles is set to return for its second season on Sunday April 17th at midnight.

New comedy series Friends of the People, Black Jesus, Mike Tyson Mysteries, and Mr. Pickles were all just renewed for a second season by their respective networks, TruTV and Adult Swim.
The sketch show on the rebranded TruTV, a show about the return of Jesus as a black man, a Scooby Doo style animated cartoon with Mike Tyson as the lead, and the adventures of a satanic dog have have all made it to a second round.
We’re pretty sure none of these shows would get picked up at one of the big broadcast networks, but unlike most of network sitcoms, these shows have, at the very least, either their bosses behind them or have done well enough to get another episode order.
In any case, televised comedy continues to thrive on cable.

On Sept. 21st, Adult Swim will premiere a brand new animated series Mr. Pickles from Will Carsola and Dave Stewart that, in fitting with Adult Swim’s branding, follows a secretly evil border collie named Mr. Pickles.
There isn’t a trailer yet, but the voices of Jay Johnston from Mr. Show, Frank Collison, Kaitlyn Robrock, along with Will Carsola and Dave Stewart make for a solid cast.
Along with Mike Tyson Mysteries also set for a series premiere in a few months, this should be quite the fall for animated series at Adult Swim.
