The price of certain issues of Charlie Hebdo will undoubtedly have gone up.

Months after the attack on the French satirical magazine’s offices, Charlie Hebdo has opted to not depict the Prophet Muhammad in their cartoons.

Charlie Hebdo editor Laurent Sourisseau explained, “We’ve done our job. We have defended the right to caricature. We still believe that we have the right to criticize all religions. The mistakes you could blame Islam for can be found in other religions,” in an interview with German Stern Magazine.

It’s too early to tell, but we’re curious if stopping drawing a particular cartoon of a religious figure will actually put a noticeable stop to any violence instigated by the corresponding religious extremists.
