Megan Amram Continues Her Quest to Win an Emmy with Her Brilliant Meta Web Series “An Emmy for Megan” Now Using Billboards and Lawn Signs

What started as a fun way to potentially the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences prestigious Emmys awards has turned into a legitimate awards run for one Megan Amram.

Earlier this year, Amram released six fantastic episodes, the minimum requirement to be considered for certain short form Emmys categories, of An Emmy for Megan. It satirically pokes and prods at the whole quest of winning the award while simultaneously attempting to get into consideration.

Thus far, Megan’s plan has gone swimmingly as her web series garners a nomination. Megan is now pushing forward with an actual Emmy campaign similar to a full fledged TV show with billboards around LA. In fact, she’s even done one better by printing and distributing lawn signs (you know, the ones you normally see for local elections) and encouraging fans to print out their own with an downloadable image available via Megan’s famous Twitter feed @meganamram.

The whole endeavor is purely fun to watch (on so many levels as well). That’s why we hope Megan keeps up this sort of “gonzo comedy” far into the future.
