Today, comedian, actor, and writer Charlie Murphy passed away from leukemia at the age of 57.

Murphy had a long career, keeping busy with TV and movies including Chapelle’s Show, Black Jesus, CB4, Harlem Nights, The Boondocks, and more, then later with stand-up as you can see in his extensive filmography on IMDB.

Of course, Murphy will be fondly remembered for his contribution to Chappelle’s Show known as Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories. The stories and reenactments of encounters with Prince and Rick James (in two parts) remain as some of the most beloved sketches of Chappelle’s Show.

You’ve probably already watched them a few times, but do so again here, here, and here.
