Pick of the Day: Channel 5 Live with Andrew Callaghan (in LA) 12/21
When it comes to the grand comedy tradition of being a “man-on-the-street”, there will forever be a formula finding unsuspecting tourists and pedestrians that are game to be on camera for late night along Hollywood Blvd or in Times Square and quizzing them in a varying degree of being underhanded.
There are others however that take talking to strangers in a comedy context to another level such as Billy Eichner or the former host of All Gas No Brakes, Andrew Callaghan. Callaghan has carved a unique niche for himself as an intrepid, genuinely curious correspondent exploring every offbeat, odd, fiery corner of America for himself at his new platform, Channel 5, as well as Tim & Eric and Desus & Mero.
He’ll be taking the stage at The Regent in DTLA to bring even more of his signature interviews and some other surprises as well right before Christmas on Wed. Dec. 21st at both 7:30PM & 9:30PM. Tickets are $25 (plus fees) and you can (and very much should) go get tickets here and here respectively.
