New animated shorts are set to start airing on May 9th at 8:30AM.

All the cable networks that were relying on playing reruns of hit shows from yesteryear are now having to produce many new original series. First, TV Land and now Boomerang.

Two of the most recognizable cartoon characters of all time, Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo, are getting brought to a new life in 2015 as a bunch of shorts and new series are being made by Warner Bros. to be fulfill the goal of having new original programming at Boomerang, a network originally dedicated to playing old cartoons.

We’re curious to see if they’ll try to aim the cartoons at kids or take the Pixar/Adventure Time route and have something there to grab the attention of adults, especially considering that adults are the ones that probably remember “What’s up doc?” and Scooby Snacks the most.
