Dungeon: A Comedy Roleplaying Game (in LA)

January 27 @ 9:30 pm - 11:00 pm
$17.85
  • « Mochi Dolci (in NYC)
  • Westside Comedy Theater (near LA) »

Dungeon takes some of today’s brightest comedians and throws them into the random chaos of playing in dungeons with dragons. Each guest comedian plays a one-person role-playing adventure against our host and Game Master, John-Michael Bond.

Danger and hilarity lie around every corner, with only the almighty dice deciding our adventurers’ fates. Each dice roll is projected on a big screen for the audience to cheer, boo, or laugh at. Featured at conventions and festivals around the country, Dungeon isn’t just another comedy Let’s Play. It blends the best parts of improv, standup, and weekend nights with friends into a wild comedy tale unlike any before it.

“Though comedic versions of Dungeons & Dragons have been made before, Bond’s version simplifies the gameplay so comedians, especially D&D uninitiated ones, can really enjoy delving into fantasy land much to the chagrin of the audience.” – The Comedy Bureau, The 100 Best Things We We Witness To In 2017

This month’s show features:

Rachel Weeks (The Command Cast) is a Los Angeles-based podcaster, writer and comedian from the western suburbs of Chicago. With years of stand-up comedy experience, Rachel has transitioned her sharp sense of humor into the world of Magic: The Gathering as the host of the popular YouTube channel and Podcast, The Command Zone.

Carmen Morales (HBO) has a captivating style which incorporates opinionated quick wit and outlandish ideals. Taking from family, friends and people from everyday encounters, she transforms personal experiences into hilarious commentary which leaves the audience doubled over in laughter. With a perfect combination of assertiveness, like-ability and vulnerability she has been well received by audiences internationally. She’s been seen on HBO, Showtime, IFC, Freeform, Hulu and The World Famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles regularly.

Spencer Bland (Netflix is a Joke) is a comedian and writer that wants you to know that his last name has no effect on his humor. He was just featured on Netflix Is A Joke Radio on SiriusXM and is a regular at clubs around the country including Goodnights Comedy Club, Helium St. Louis, Dead Crow Comedy Room and more!
