“Occupy Conan” is giving the keys to Conan O’Brien’s late night talk show (sort of) to the fans. Topping past stunts like doing an entire episode in stop motion animation, you can redo a recent episode in any style you like.

Above is the line-up of the very last Comedy Bang Bang ever, specifically their annual Nativity Pageant show at the Montalban Theater. Yesterday, hours before the show started, the man behind CBB, Scott Aukerman, posted line-ups over the past 10 years of the live show on his blog.
It’s a pretty fascinating walk through comedy history, especially in LA that you should take a look at right now because you might recognize or name two.
In this latest episode of Scott Moran’s Modern Comedian, Steve Agee recounts his personal journey in finding his comedic voice over several years, which, at one point turned on a dime due to the saintly advice of Janeane Garafolo.

Cinefamily, specifically in this case, the Silent Movie Theatre, is one of the city’s most unique movie theaters. They are, by trade, a revival theater, but do such more as Doug Benson, Greg Proops, Dan Harmon, Rob Schrab, Jon Glaser, Wayne Federman, Reggie Watts, Paul F. Tompkins, TJ Miller and way, way more do amazing, hilarious shows, screenings, etc. there on a regular basis.

Eric Andre of The Eric Andre Show and Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23 will do anything for the big laugh anytime, especially while on a talk show, including derailing an interview with guest host Michael Kosta, mistake the co-hosts’ names, and getting completely naked.

In sort of a revolutionary move in the history of late night panel guests, Albert Brooks first pulled the curtain back during his appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman revealing that segments are produced. Then, he admitted that all the stories he was about to tell, conveniently outlined on cards in front of Letterman, were all fabricated.

Would You Read News If It Was in Comic Strip Form?
At first, it might sound almost condescending that we’re at a point in society/popular culture that we have to dumb down important news into the form of an entertaining comic strip, but take a look at what this start up Symbolia is doing and it’s not that at all. Informative, brief, and, seemingly perfect for the Internet, there is potential here and if it was funnier/more clever, it could be big.
Also, plenty of journalists could take a cue from this on how to get to the meat of a story.
ABC Developing Cop Comedy with Hannibal Buress
Along with developing a sitcom with Rory Scovel, ABC seems like they’re picking up where NBC is about to leave off, comedy tone wise.
Dave Hill continues to dazzle us all with his writing prowess after his book Tasteful Nudes by going on a tear on Twitter and cranking out extremely short form erotic stories.

Silicon Valley Set to Be Satirized by Mike Judge and Scott Rudin at HBO
HBO just greenlit a live action comedy pilot from Mike Judge and Co. along with Scott Rudin as EP (The Truman Show, South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut, Moonrise Kingdom) set in the tech wild west of Silicon Valley, CA.
Definitely keep an eye out for this.

The concert film and part documentary ‘Tell Your Friends’, the Liam McEneaney and Victor Varnado’s NYC based live comedy show is now on both on DVD and CD from AST Records. This will definitely be interesting to watch like if Barton Fink had to write a superhero movie and then it was getting greenlit.
