On this latest episode of Jerry Seinfeld’s web series “Comedian In Cars Getting Coffee”, Seinfeld hangs out with top touring American comedian Brian Regan (grossed millions by doing a few shows in Salt Lake City, UT alone) and discussed a joke that was organically developed by them separately, yet almost completely identical, save for the examples/references.

Season Finale of Comedy Bang Bang and Bunk Tonight on IFC

August 10, 2012
Uncategorized

We had the season premieres of 3 comedy series last night and it’s just so convenient that there are 2 finales tonight with Comedy Bang Bang and Bunk capping off their inaugural seasons on IFC. We don’t want to say it’s been a great run yet because we’re sure there’s more absurd goodness to come from both series that we can’t wait for.

They’re at 10PM and 10:30PM, again, on IFC, respectively, so don’t miss out.

Matt Besser’s Inside the Master Class Demands Sexual Honesty No Matter How Uncomfortable It Is

August 10, 2012
Uncategorized

Mockumentary behind the curtain improv web series, Inside the Master Class with Matt Besser (and a hilarious cast of Neil Campbell, Stephanie Allynne, Eva Anderson, Mike Cassady, Paul Rust, Mookie Blaicklock, Monika Smith, and Armen Weitzman), has shown the hardships to being a top flight improvisor, specifically in this episode, being so honest with your sexuality that you’re willing to discuss it with the ensemble while you’re doing it.

More so than the NC-17 rating the episode title of this or the NSFW nature of the series, we’ll tell you that it’s really dark comedy, but wonderfully so a la Todd Solondz.

W. Kamau Bell on Stop and Frisk Policy in NYC

August 14, 2012
Uncategorized

In NYC, the NYPD has instituted a “stop and frisk” policy, which is exactly what it sounds like as police officers, at their discretion, can stop and frisk citizens they believe to be suspect in some way.

On his new show Totally Biased, W. Kamau Bell explores how this new tactic to fight crime in NYC is received in Harlem. Hint: even if they got consolation prizes, people, to say the least, aren’t into it.

Totally Biased is on FX Thursdays at 11PM.
