On June 8th 8PM at Nerdist Theater, one can see Sean Patton tape his album for A Special Thing Records for free. Sean is one of our favorite comedians to go see over and over, even if he’s doing material that we can quote because, simply, it’s just that good. We understand why the publicity department or whoever came up with this document telling the cast members of Community how to answer questions regarding the firing Dan Harmon came up with it. They need to defend the brand of the show, the network, the executives, etc.
However, can you, whoever the hell whipped this up in seemingly 15 minutes or less, work a little harder on making it sound like the cast didn’t live in captivity in a remote bunker for months or that they would be completely clueless as people OR that they’re running for some sort of political office?
Why did Dan get let go from the show?
We’re not made aware of why staffing changes take place but I will always be grateful to Dan for his great work on the show and wish him only the best. We’re also excited that we’ll be back on NBC’s schedule in the fall and are looking forward to working on those episodes.
Also, the new showrunners David Guarascio and Moses Port decided to get a joint Twitter account or someone else who looks to be incredibly ironic today.

The March Madness style short form TV series tournament Channel 101 just went through its May round for 2012. Genre and style defying Gumbel took top honors, making it a Channel 101 favorite. If you were wondering what Dan Harmon was doing last night, it was this because he and Rob Schrab started it.
Whit Stillman’s (Last Days of Disco) return to the big screen with the whimsically subversive looking Damsels in Distress is coupled by the summer of Greta Gerwig (starring in both Damsels and Lola Versus) making for a great alternative to whatever big film is taking up three screens at your theater. Cinefamily in LA is having a week run of the film starting Fri. Jun. 1st and, if you’re in the area and on a Moonrise Kingdom high, you should catch Damsels in Distress complete with Aubrey Plaza saying something sarcastic.
