Silver Lake Shorts Presents DJ Douggpound: A Retrospective (in LA)

Since the early 2000’s, DJ Douggpound (Doug Lussenhop) has transformed the language and landscape of comedy editing from the pre-YouTube days of the early Internet with viral hits like dubbed over GI Joe PSA’s to the glory days of deep cable sketch comedy on shows like Tim And Eric Awesome Show, the Eric Andre Show and Portlandia. Known for his chaotic, absurdist, glitchy and Lofi style, Douggpound has always maintained a DIY spirit and embraced independent filmmaking putting out countless original shorts, music videos, comedy sketches and everything in between.

Through this retrospective Silver Lake Shorts takes a look at Doug’s artistry going all the way back to the 1980’s to Doug’s work today, followed by a Q+A moderated by Mia Di Pasquale with the Honorable Joke DJ himself.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards Silver Lake Shorts and help support our monthly programming and our filmmaker fellowship program!
