A Brick and Mortar “Simpsons” Store Opens in Beijing

(via Deadline)

So, the U.S. does some exporting to China, even though all the merchandise is probably made in China.

The Taiko Sanlitun shopping center in Beijing has just opened up an entire store filled with Simpsons collectibles, apparel, memorabilia, etc. The opening comes at an interesting time as Chinese television and movies are starting to outperform their Hollywood counterparts more and more. However, the global appeal of The Simpsons is undeniable

This is, as far as we know, the first brick and mortar Simpsons Store in the world, aside from gift shops in the Simpsons-themed Springfield in Universal Studios Florida. As that’s the case, you might want to drop by if you just happen to be in Beijing.
