If you follow us, you ought to know that The Super Serious Show is something that you should always be in attendance for as they always have a magnificent line-up featuring all sorts of comedy, both of stage and screen.

This edition for Oct. 2019 is no different as you can see above. In fact, this month, you’ll get to see, in addition to the fantastic comedic stylings of Byron Bowers, Lizzy Cooperman, James Fritz, Eddie Pepitone, Taylor Tomlinson, and host/headliner Asif Ali, My Favorite Murder’s Karen Kilgariff return to the stage and short films from the TBS-made-a-huge-mistake-by-shelving-their-brilliant-series sketch group The Dress Up Gang.

That should be more incentive than usual, which is a lot, to show up for this Super Serious Show.

We’ve always enjoyed the sharp and clever stand-up of Ian Edwards over the years and we’re delighted to see that he’s throwing a bit of a curveball with his latest special, IanTalk.

Presented by Bill Burr, Ian will be doing his material in the style of a TED Talk presentation, but with “ideas not worth spreading”. See exactly what Ian has up his sleeve in this trailer.

Then, look for the premiere of IanTalk on Comedy Central, this Saturday at midnight.

More and more, live comedy is becoming a fixture at big time music and arts festivals.

At SXSW, Showtime has been taping a special showcase to capture some of that festival comedy magic. Host Natasha Leggero, Sean Patton, Emo Philips, Eliza Skinner, Ian Edwards, and Kurt Braunohler make for one hell of a bill for the latest batch of Showtime Comedy Club at SXSW.

Look for it to premiere on Friday, March 17th on Showtime.
