“Review” on Comedy Central to Have Short 3rd and Final Season

(via The Hollywood Reporter)

Rather than having to bend the rules of the universe they have created, Andy Daly and the team at Review are letting Forrest MacNeil get some peace… probably.

Review is one of the shows that is at the core of Comedy Central’s current renaissance, both in the writing, execution, and the fantastic work done by the show’s star Andy Daly. So, they’re going to preserve the integrity of the show and have an abbreviated 3rd season that might be as short as three episodes or even shown as a movie to tie up the mess that MacNeil has made of his life over and over again.

While it’s sad to see Review come to a close, it is great that Daly is ending it on his terms.

The Descent Into Madness for the 2nd Season of “Review” Might Just Be as Good as the First

With his life and well-being constantly in danger, one might wonder how the close of the second season of Review might come about without just outright killing host Forrest MacNeil and living up to the fight at the end of season one.

Well, the show ingeniously has Forrest review conspiracy theories, which leads him to create a conspiracy theory about the reviews he’s assigned. That’s as much as we’ll say for fear of spoiling of anything else.

Watch it here.

Things not only keep going further south for Forrest MacNeil on Review, but get worst on top of that.

Case in point: his latest review of being buried alive and the announcement he gets while being buried alive.

In Trying to Make His Son Happy and Finding a Peaceful Sojourn, Forrest MacNeil Has Some of His Toughest Reviews Yet

If only Forrest MacNeil/Andy Daly had to review on Review what it would be like to be the world’s unluckiest man, he would, for once, merely present his life as he has unfortunately lived it.

Just watch his reviews for making a birthday wish come true and taking a peaceful sojourn to see Forrest go through his own personal circles of hells.

Forrest MacNeil Might Regret The Way He Went About His ‘Being Falsely Accused’ Review

Forrest MacNeil/Andy Daly might have completely underestimated one of latest reviews on Review and ultimately wished he used his veto power to refuse.

Though knowing he was reviewing the experience of of being falsely accused of a crime, he had no idea it was going to be as serious as this.

Forrest’s latest review on Review had him to get laid on an airplane while in flight as the sole requirement of joining the ‘Mile High Club’, the experience he had been asked to review.

Given everything you know about Forrest and how things usually go for him on Review, you’d know that he’ll probably be able to handle pulling this feat off.

Just watch and see what happens and if he actually gets membership to the mile high club.

Our favorite intrepid reviewer of life, Forrest MacNeil, is finally back and wasting no time in delving into the great quandaries of life.

In this particular case, that quandary just happens to be one of glory holes.

Watch Forrest begin his journey for this review here, then look for the premiere of season 2 of Review on July 30th on Comedy Central.

Forrest MacNeil Is Putting Himself Even More in Harm’s Way in Season 2 Trailer for “Review”

Season 1 of Review made Forrest MacNeil/Andy Daly almost lose everything. Family, friends, sense of self and purpose, and more seem to fall away one by one with each review that Forrest took on.

Yet, despite a temporary disappearance, MacNeil is back on to doing his duty for mankind by reviewing whatever is asked of him as evidenced in this trailer for season 2.

Apparently, such important duty involves having an arrow shot at an apple on his head, glory holes, prison, and more.

Please mark your calendars for the season 2 premiere of Review on July 30th at 10PM on Comedy Central.

The phrase “our long national nightmare is finally over” seldom applies more than it does with the return of Review’s host Forrest MacNeil.

After running off the grid from the season 1 finale, the crew, Comedy Central, and the whole of the Internet joined together to find Forrest and now season 2 is safely under way and will be coming to your TV starting Thurs. July 30th at 10PM on Comedy Central.

Watch Forrest’s “press conference” announcing his return here.
