If you’re looking for something way in the future to look forward as a way to potentially have something to get you through the end of the year all the way into 2021 when maybe, possibly, hopefully there will be a vaccine that we all can get for COVID-19, there will be a magnificent collection of essays, poetry, toons, short stories, art, and so much more for well over 100 of the best women in comedy (from all corners including stand-up, writing, sketch, acting, podcasting, musical comedy, and more) in Notes from the Bathroom Line: Humor, Art, and Low-grade Panic from 150 of the Funniest Women in Comedy.

Amy Solomon (producer on Silicon Valley, Barry) curated the incredibly impressive literary gathering for this book and we really can’t wait for Mar. 16th, 2021 when Notes from the Bathroom Line is set for release.

Thus far, slated to contribute are:

Lolly Adefope, Maria Bamford, Aisling Bea, Lake Bell, Rachel Bloom, Rhea Butcher, Nicole Byer, D’Arcy Carden, Aya Cash, Karen Chee, Margaret Cho, Mary H.K. Choi, Amanda Crew, Rachel Dratch, Beanie Feldstein, Jo Firestone, Briga Heelan, Samantha Irby, Emily V. More contributors will be added down the line for a book that’s so much more promising than a lot of what 2020 has given us.

By the way, you can pre-order Notes from the Bathroom Line here.

One of FXx’s best series to date will come to a conclusion in a fifth season. For our money, this is the captivating will they-won’t they story for our time.

It does leave you wondering what’s coming down the pipe over at FXx that might fill it shoes.

Before that happens, we can rest somewhat easy knowing that there’s one more season of You’re The Worst coming.

Proceed at your own caution as there are some spoilers here.

However, given the title of the show, nothing that Jimmy and Gretchen do to each other should come as a total surprise.

In any case this new official trailer and teaser have us really chomping at the bit for the return of You’re The Worst (which has an hour long season premiere FYI) on Wednesday, September 6th at 10PM on FXx.

In many ways, Jimmy and Gretchen are right back where they first started and, of course, seemingly ready to wildly and romantically crash into each other again.

Their separate renditions of Tainted Love in this trailer make for a great place to pick up for season 4 of You’re The Worst, which premieres Wednesday, September 6th at 10PM on FXx.

You’re The Worst along with Jimmy and Gretchen’s shenanigans (and by “shenanigans”, we mean the impulsive, rash decisions that constantly keep their relationship embattled) are coming back for season 4 at the end of this Summer.

See for yourself in this teaser, which, if you watch closely might hint at where Jimmy and Gretchen are at with themselves and each other.

Season 4 of You’re The Worst premieres Wednesday, September 6th on FXx.

Another season of Fuller House is perhaps balanced out with a mumblecore anthology?

Joe Swanberg, the mind behind mumblecore dramedies Digging For Fire and Drinking Buddies, is getting his own series that will follow various lives of Chicagoans in the organic style that Swanberg has honed over the years.

Marc Maron, Hannibal Burress, Jake Johnson, Aya Cash, Dave Franco, Orlando Bloom, Malin Akerman, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and more have all signed on to be featured in the series some way.

All of these elements and this anthology series’ title being Easy make this for yet another intriguing Netflix series will all probably end up binge watching over a weekend.

“You’re The Worst” Shows How Friends Try to Realistically Help a Depressed Gretchen (or Anyone for That Matter)

On top of it being a really hysterical dark romantic comedy series, You’re The Worst has managed to touch on issues like depression in a grounded way that’s also, ironically, not depressing.

Case in point from this latest season: Jimmy and friends trying to help an emotionally catatonic Gretchen.

It should go without saying that we’re happy that there’s a third season of this in the works.

Even though they have come to co-habitate under the same roof, You’re The Worst’s Gretchen and Jimmy still manage to find new cracks in their relationship to explore.

Case in point: Jimmy’s strategy to deal with a Gretchen that hides when she’s sad. Watch it here.
