The name Steven Wright, though very simple and down-to-earth, should be a name that really ought to make you look twice as it’s the name of one of the best artisans in the craft of comedy. Wright’s deadpan delivery is almost the definitive idea of being deadpan in comedy and thus, you shouldn’t miss out on any sort of appearance or anything he’s doing.
Lucky for us all, he just came out with a new novel, Harold, and he’s doing a special live-in-person appearance at NYC’s beloved bookstore, Strand, on Thurs. May 18th at 7PM. Tickets are $13.81 (not including book, though you can get a signed copy here). Join Wright in just seeing him out and about again as well share what ought to be a delightful stream-of-consciousness-y book focusing on a particular third grader over one day at school.
