The Simpsons Continues Its Historic Run with Season 33 & 34 Renewal

It’s clear that The Simpsons is more than just one of the longest running series in television history. It’s an institution that has interwoven itself into the fabric of 21st century Americana. It’s very likely that The Simpsons are as ubiquitous Star Wars or Harry Potter. The three franchises all have their very own sections of theme parks throughout the U.S., which almost no other single IP, movie or TV, can claim.

With that in mind, it is just common sense for Fox to renew its marquee series, perhaps one of the crown jewels of its entire programming line-up. Notably, going into these new seasons, Dr. Hibbert will no longer be voiced by famed white Simpsons voice actor Harry Shearer just like Hank Azaria stepped down from voicing Apu. Hopefully, there will be no more terrifying things in live action real life that The Simpsons predicted coming up in the not so distant future, but we’ll just have to hold tight.

Also, we’ll be curious if the Treehouse of Horror episodes in seasons 33 or 34 touch on COVID-19 at all.
