When being a fan of a professional sports team is a way of life for you, you might take on a bit (or a lot in some cases) of a spiritual connection or superstition to the team’s journey throughout a given season. People do the strangest things as a blessing or a curse for the fortunes of their teams, which you could spend several days going down an Internet research rabbit hole. That’s how rabid the superstition of diehard sports fan can be.
