Whether you need a complete distraction from the ever more hellish reality we live in or just a jolt of unfettered absurdity, there is nothing quite like Late Late Breakfast to serve those in plentiful supply to all of our heart’s content.

Late Late Breakfast was forged several years ago by Tyler Jackson and Danny Maupin as an alternative to any sort of traditional comedy show by challenging stand-up comedians to do their act while a randomly selected ridiculous task was assigned to them. That could be anything from embodying the seven deadly sins throughout their set to being interrupted by a karaoke chorus of Sweet Caroline from the audience. It’s controlled chaos, perhaps, in its finest form.

It has been quite some time since they’ve mounted an edition of Late Late Breakfast in LA, but the Yard Theater will be letting this bonkers show bring some life to next Monday night on Aug. 29th at 9PM. Having to run through a gauntlet of abject silliness will be a very, very fine collection of LA comedians including The Shrimp Boys, Curtis Cook, Molly Kearney, Maggie Maye, Brodie Reed, Bailey Norton, Jane Harrison, Jake Noll, and Carly Kane with Tyler Jackson and Sammy Mowrey presiding over all the tomfoolery.

Tickets are only $5 and you really ought to go get tickets and have a Monday night to remember here.
