Pick of the Day: Comedians Writing Letters on Zoom for #BreonnaTaylor 7/18
Of all the actions to take part in this historical moment that we’re currently living in, one of the more difficult ones to get through for lots of folks might just be physical letter writing to reps, local officials, attorneys general, etc.
To help with that, the Pack Theater is doing a special letter writing party with comedians to not only make writing those crucial letters easier to accomplish, but way, way more fun (especially because the midnight oil will be burning for this one). This particular edition of Comedians Writing Letters on Zoom, on July 18th 11PM PT/1AM ET, will be for Breonna Taylor who hasn’t gotten anywhere near the justice she deserves months after her murder (the officers responsible have not been charged and dozens of protesters were arrested yesterday).
Per Pack Theater’s Artistic Director Elyssa Phillips about this event/action:
I have all the info ready to go.
All the emails and all the snail mail addresses.
All the Twitter handles to send tweets out to.
All the stuff if you want to physically WRITE a letter.
Ready to copy and paste.
I will even come to your place and pick up the letter and mail it myself so you don’t have to.
You’ll be able to tune in/take part on Zoom (the link we’ll be posted on the night of here) or simply stream it on The Pack Theater’s Twitch. Get more details here.
