HBO’s Latest Dramedy “Gösta” Hails From Sweden

Lukas Moodysson, one of Sweden’s most celebrated directors or multi-hyphenates (Moodysson writes poetry and novels as well), is bringing his latest work, the series Gösta to America via HBO. This show, centered on the titular character who gets taken advantage of for being too charitable, definitely seems to fall in live with HBO’s shift towards exploring humanity in their comedy programming as opposed to the biting satires of Veep and Silicon Valley.

You can get a taste of the sweet, but subtly sharp dramedy of Gösta with this trailer, then look to get into on HBO and HBO Max starting this Su. Aug. 31st.
