SUMMARY:Fever Dream TV (in NYC)
DESCRIPTION:Fever Dream TV is a surrealist one man show from Nikolai Phalen that combines stand up comedy with absurdist character study to create a hilarious reflection on the meaning of creating in the face of nihilistic circumstance. In FDTV\, Nikolai performs his stand up show only to be interrupted by a god-like figure who appears to be connected to the worlds oldest dog and for some reason Jennifer Coolidge. \nFever Dream TV is queer pop cultural reference through the paradigms of Camusian Philosophy— in the words of Camus\, “One must imagine Sisyphus as a gay guy named Nikolai\, and his boulder as a comedy show called Fever Dream TV at wild project from April 1st-April 18th”. \nAs part of its run 15% of ticket sales will be donated to the IDP (Immigrant Defense Project) which is doing valuable work in the nyc community. \nShowtimes: \n4/4 @ 7PM ET \n4/11 @ 5:20PM ET \n4/12 @ 5:20PM ET \n4/16 @ 7:40PM ET \n4/17 @ 7:40PM ET

SUMMARY:Deanna Ortiz: Funny Slut (in NYC)
DESCRIPTION:Deanna Ortiz used to think her job was posting thirst traps for pornstars. Turns out\, it was also therapy… with a 401(k). In Funny Slut\, Deanna tells the hilarious and unexpectedly heartfelt story of working in social media for the adult entertainment industry\, where she learned to embrace chaos\, confidence\, and her inner hot girl all while replying “Thanks\, babe!” to strangers in the comments. \nThrough NSFW inboxes\, awkward Zoom calls\, and the daily existential crisis of writing obscenities in a brand-safe tone\, Deanna found something bigger than a paycheck… herself. \nFunny Slut is a sharp\, self-aware\, and hilarious look at what happens when your day job is sex\, and your side hustle is soul-searching. It’s for anyone who’s ever felt weird about their job\, their body\, or their browser history. \n\n\n\nStarts 7:30PM ET

SUMMARY:Cass Bugge: Butch Baby. Big Mouth. (in LA)
DESCRIPTION:Cass wouldn’t stop talking. Her family was quiet.\nCass wanted to be a boy. Her family wanted her to be a princess.\nCass only spoke English. Her family speaks Norwegian and Filipino (Tagalog). \nJoin Cass as she struggles to be understood (both figuratively and literally)\, as the first Big Mouthed Butch American kid in a very foreign family. \nMaybe you’ll speak a little Norwegian\, learn a little Tagalog or eat something that made her American classmates run from her house in horror? Who knows? It’s a comedic communication breakdown that’s still a Work In Progress. “Butch Baby. Big Mouth” was developed in Playing Yourself\, The Elysian’s solo show devising workshop led by Artistic Director Jacquelyn Landgraf. \nStarts 9PM PT

SUMMARY:Hannah Pilkes Presents: Skiing (in LA)
DESCRIPTION:Hannah has melted down before. But never more mightily than the day all 5’11” of her was taken to the top of a mountain to try skiing for the first time\, with zero experience\, and newly lapsed medical insurance. A ridiculous fever dream of an hour that explores classism\, currency\, and what success really means. A critic recently described Hannah as part muppet\, part Carol Burnett. SUMMARY:Alex Berr: How to Kill a Mouse (in NYC)
DESCRIPTION:A solo comedy show from a dedicated biomedical researcher processing the loss of her mother to cancer. A deeply personal\, funny\, and at times absurd look at grief and the human side of science. ★★★★★ “Endlessly compelling” – The Wee Review \nA solo comedy show from a scientist reconciling her personal life with her professional one. Alex Berr spent her adolescence studying a rare form of brain cancer; years later her mom was diagnosed with the same form of rare cancer.
