It used to be that once a year the people of Greece would re-enact the myth of Persephone in a ritual known as the Eleusinian Mysteries that according to Cicero “taught men how to live and also how to die.” \nTo set the stage\, Persephone\, a young Greek Goddess has gone missing. She was picking flowers one day when she disappeared. Demeter\, her mother\, is beside herself with grief and keeps the world in perpetual winter until Persephone is returned. Suspicions abound that the underworld’s most eligible bachelor\, Hades is to blame.
