12-year-old Ralph loves making home videos around his house. He also loves hooking it up to the TV to record his favorite shows. Ralph, however, didn’t realize he was using his parents’ wedding video as his canvas.

This homegrown alt-comedy shot entirely on VHS and Betamax is the final version of Ralph’s pastiche “masterpiece.” VHYES features hilarious send-ups of ‘80s cable TV staples like infomercials and Bob Ross spliced between the story of Ralph’s home life. Led by comedy legends Kerri Kenney (Reno 911!), Thomas Lennon (Archer), and Mark Proksch (The Office), the film also features a cameo from director Jack Henry Robbins’ parents, Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon.

At home on the same shelf as Tim & Eric, Tim Robinson, and Eric Andre, VHYES is a trip back to a simpler, lower-resolution era – and a film you couldn’t imagine playing anywhere else but Alamo.
