Varietyville (in LA)

May 11 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
$23.69
  • « Wolves of Glendale Fundraiser for Alek Bartrosouf (in LA)
  • The Moth (in NYC) »

Varietyville brings their (almost) greatest hits to Dynasty Typewriter! For their 25th show, they’re blowing the dust off their best bits… and a few that could’ve gone better. Featuring special guests, magician MATT FELTEN, the incomparable ESMERELDA THE PUPPET, and LA’s Wizard of Late Night Variety, RON LYNCH; plus M.C. Gainey and The Varietyvillians (Cait Bidwell, Will Marcil, Suzanne Nichols, Iris Perry, Yasha Rayzberg) with music from J.C Wright & The Varietyville Sound (“Fiddlin Tom” Hanslowe, Madison Shearer, Geremy Good, Andrew Crawford, Steve Craig).

Varietyville is more than just another variety show, it’s an entertainment collective made up of passionate performers and eager artisans. Formed by comedian/writer Austin Laine Walker’s undying obsession with television variety shows of yesteryear, Varietyville has been described as “a small town encapsulated in a snow globe, where every day is a variety special.” Each performance is an entirely unique trip to this fictional utopia, which is to say, the show you see will never be seen again. For sketch comedy, musical numbers, puppetry, and more — visit Varietyville!
