The Crisis (in LA)

March 10, 2024 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
$12
  • « The Rec Room (near LA)
  • John Oliver & Seth Meyers (in NYC) »

At the heart of The Crisis is the friendship between Dione Kuraoka (Pea #1) and Kami Dimitrova (Pea #2), a couple-a peas in a pod who are hellbent on putting on the show of their dreams! There’s just one problem—they each have very different ideas of what the show should be, and things are starting to crack at the seams. To make matters worse, a lowly stagehand janitor (Lane Koivu) hired to help with transitions starts to wedge his way into the spotlight and try out some of his own bits. Featuring polished character sketches interspersed with moments of pure clown and absurdity, The Crisis is a hot mess that tries (and fails) to give you the sausage without showing you how the sausage is made. It’s music! It’s clown! It’s sketch! It’s the marrow of life—the bitter and the sweet! It’s THE CRISIS!
