The Armando (in LA w/Livestream)

January 17 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$35
  • « A Useful Ghost (in NYC)
  • Three 30s (in LA) »

The Armando is a bold Los Angeles adaptation of the longest-running improv show of all time, The Armando Diaz Experience. Originally created in 1995 by Armando Diaz, Adam McKay, and Dave Koechner under the legendary guidance of Del Close at the ImprovOlympic Theater in Chicago, The Armando has become a cornerstone of modern improvisation.

In this version, a celebrity monologist shares true, personal stories—or embraces pure “Del Magic” by transforming into a character inspired by audience suggestions—sparking unforgettable, unscripted scenes in real time.

This show features the devilishly handsome, hilariously brilliant actor, Joel McHale (Community, Animal Control) as our guest monologist, whose stories will inspire hilarious and spontaneous scenes performed by some of the country’s top improv comedians.

Starring an all-star cast of improv geniuses:

Paul Scheer (The League, How Did This Get Made?)

Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones, Vice Principals)

Brian Huskey (VEEP, Another Period)

Colton Dunn (Superstore, The Recruit)

Rob Huebel (Human Giant, Children’s Hospital)

Stephnie Weir (Mad-TV, A Million Little Things)

Curated & Hosted by:
Christina Jacquelyn Calph (Blacklist, Tower Heist)
