Sojourn: Meg and Shawn (in LA)

November 25, 2024 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
$17.85
  • « Fresh & Meaty (near LA)
  • Laugh Riot Grrrrl @ Tao Comedy Studio (in LA) »

Meg and Shawn clown around together… and maybe do some Shakespeare? But first, they debut their long-awaited and respective WIPs. We have a show about self-discovery in a time of not knowing, of finding out about oneself, but also learning about others…all through the lens of clown. And then we have a solo clown play told via classic film tropes about what it means to be a woman and artist while breaking free from intergenerational trauma.

Shawn Stoner – is a veteran clown who directs and runs workshops. His credits include his solo show “Bear” and performing with the long-running Idiot ensemble, Deep Squeeze and the Jet Eveleth directed ensemble, The Highland Park Clowns.

Meg Cheng – is a clown by way of the theater and improv. She performs with the Jet Eveleth directed ensemble The Highland Park Clowns and the Asian-American comedy troupe Pot Hot.
