$20
  • « Netflix Is a Joke: The Crossword Show (in LA)

This is not a stand up show. Instead, tonight we kick back, eat popcorn and celebrate stand ups who have the fortitude to produce film projects for the big screen! For this Netflix Is a Joke edition of Stand Up Cinema, comedian-filmmaker Sam Rubinoff will curate a new collection of short films made by local LA comics and visiting festival performers. This is a unique opportunity to see your favorite comedians’ recent filmmaking endeavors with a live audience. Stand Up Cinema first premiered to a sold out crowd at the 2023 New York Comedy Festival.Tonight’s program features short films from these fantastic comedians:

  • Joe List (The Tonight Show, Tuesdays with Stories)
  • Jo Firestone (Joe Pera Talks to You, Head Writer at After Midnight)
  • Ahamed Weinberg (Late Show with Stephen Colbert) & Mekki Leeper (Jury Duty)
  • Edy Modica (Jury Duty)
  • Jason Burke (Comedy Central) & Evan Williams (The Recovery Call)
  • Sam Rubinoff (Civic Duty)
