More Than a Fart (in NYC)

December 21, 2023 @ 9:30 pm - 11:00 pm
$18.80
  • « Comedians on the Loose @ Black Cat LES (in NYC)
  • Pain as Art with Clare O’Kane (in NYC) »

In this world premier solo show, Samantha Nugent takes us on a highbrow exploration of lowbrow subject matter, and vice versa. Through characters, sketches, videos, and riveting anecdotes, Samantha educates us on the physiology, epistemology and history of farts, boogers and poop, using them as a vehicle to divulge our shame, fear and embarrassment. This collection of material was written by Samantha over the past year while persevering in the face of creative constipation, realizing the reality of the impossibility of her dreams, and attempting to overcome self-doubt. MTAF is an offering to her insecurity and fear, a promise that it will not triumph.

More Than A Fart is directed by Sarah Smallwood Parsons, an amazing writer, performer, director, teacher, multi-hyphenate artist, and general inspiration to Samantha.

Featuring improv from the hilarious soft improv!
