LOSER LION PARTY BUS & BEAUTIFUL NIGHT & BLOODY DEATH SKULL (in LA)

July 9, 2024 @ 9:30 pm - 11:00 pm
$10
  • « Accidental Chaos (in LA)
  • Eastville Comedy Club (in NYC) »

ONE HOUR. TWO SHOWS. AND A REAL GOOD TIME. Jackie Skinner and Kym Priess take you on two very different rides of your life in one hour as they gear up for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. Witness the process!

With musical guest BLOODY DEATH SKULL and Intermission Karaoke hosted by Matt Raub and YOU!

BEAUTIFUL NIGHT is one dumb-dumb’s journey to making the most beautiful night. Music, intrigue, you, Long DressTM, and you…what could be more beautiful? An absurd, playful (and some would say heroic) attempt at beauty and connection. Watch a human with little to no volume control attempt a nearly silent and beautiful show: a recipe for disaster, but also a recipe for laughing. Every show is different* because every audience is different, and more beautiful than the next. (*except for Long DressTM, Long DressTM will not change show to show.)Performed by Jackie Skinner, a Bostonian/American who’s performed her comedic solo work in comedy festivals and venues all over the USA (most recently at Austin Sketchfest + Chicago Sketchfest). This is her first non-US performance, talk to her! She is trying to make friends! www.jackieskinner.com

LOSER LION PARTY BUS is a newly formed business from Loser Lion, rejected Vegas wrestler. But please call him “Jerry.” He’s grateful for your party tips on this rowdy, bawdy, clown synth-rock ride into absurdity. “Put ‘em up, put ‘em up, put ‘em up,” he rhythmically roars, against a HEAVY dance beat coaxing you into air guitar playing, drinking contests and self-revelation. Although Jerry can appear intimidating at times in his Cowardly Lion wig & beard, bloody fake muscle chest, blacked-out teeth and tiny red bottoms with ripped fur & brown tights…

He just wants your love.

A positively in-your-face, playfully dark, immersive, deranged character burlesque rock concert that ponders dreams, failure, growing older, expectations, self-improvement, tenderness and how we show up in the world. Like Dali, PeeWee + Elvira with a dash of Rocky Horror + Peaches frolicking on acid..

Brought to you by Kym Priess, a comedic performance artist , rock musician and leader of STUNTDRIVER, the adventure rock spectacle. She was born in Austin, lives in LA, actually drives cars in movies but prefers tubing down a river above all else.
