Good Brain (in NYC)
Good Brain is a science/comedy show where comedians ask a Literal Brain Scientist questions about pain, neuroscience, and society.
Our scientist, Dr. Marianne Reddan will talk to you about how society can alter people’s expectations for harm so much so that it can change the way our brains perceive pain. Our panel includes NYC’s finest comedians– Bobby Condon, Rachel Coster, Cameron Bradford, and Casey James Salengo– who have volunteered to be experimented on with her “pain device” on stage “for science.”
Dr. Reddan is the director of the Socioecological Cognitive Neuroscience Lab, where she studies how the human brain constructs pain, and how this is influenced by societal structures like social rank, the economy, and health care systems.
Bobby Condon is loud, irreverent, bald and originally from Chicago. His special, Greatest Hits, is currently only YouTube and he has another coming in 2026.
Rachel Coster is the stand up comedian, filmmaker, actress, and investigative reporter responsible for BOY ROOM (a YouTube must-watch).
Cameron Bradford is a comedy writer and actor whose tweets and sketches have certainly been forwarded to your social media inbox.
Casey James Salengo is a comedian, actor, writer, and infamous TaskRabbit whose special WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE is available now on YouTube.
Derek is a comedy writer and the host of the deep-thinking podcast Chamber of Reason. He may or may not be in this show.
