If you believe everything you read on Reddit about Wyatt Cenac, he is obsessed with race. To quote one person, “Wyatt Cenac is talented, but he’s pretty much made a career on being one of those raw nerve types when it comes to the issue of race.” And it’s true. Wyatt Cenac is talented! He’s an Emmy Award-winning comedian, actor, producer, and writer known for the HBO late-night comedy docuseries Wyatt Cenac’s Problem Areas.

But is he also as that commenter suggests a “raw nerve type” when it comes to race? And if he is, is that such a bad thing? To quote Reddit again, “If there’s a place to find offense at a white person doing something – Cenac will sniff it out like a truffle pig.” But here’s the thing, people looooove truffles. Truffle fries… truffle mac and cheese… there’s even truffle flavored lube for the romantic foodie in your life. What’s clear is the world needs its truffle pigs. So Wyatt is going to use his particular point of view to examine the way race affects our lives in a myriad of ways. Because we live in a world where white truffles actually cost more than black truffles so maybe everything is racist.
