Dear Diary Comedy Show (in LA)
Dear Diary, Will a comedy show finally make people understand me? A girl can dream. Love, Steph Hawkins
Get ready for an hour and half of comedy akin to the thrill, and horror, of flipping through one’s diary. Featuring performances by Ivy Wolk and Whitmer Thomas.
Ivy Wolk can be seen in films “Anora” and “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You” — both Oscar nominated films, with Anora winning Best Picture (among others). Wolk also produces her own comedy show called Struggle Bus with Nick Viagas — a trauma exploitation show. You can also see her writing on substack under the username @ivywolk where she provides cultural commentary; specifically impotence, death, fantasy, and the celebrity.
Whitmer Thomas can be seen in films “Weapons” and “Friendship.” He has an HBO comedy special titled “Whitmer Thomas: The Golden One,” as well as a very successful music career — notably with albums, “Songs From the Golden One” and “The Older I Get the Funnier I Was.”
Dear Diary will also feature a variety of acts from current heavy hitters in the LA comedy scene: John Luna, Kelly Farmer, Sarah Cortina, Toby Kamish, Emmieyk, Charlotte Elfenbaum, and your host Steph Hawkins.
A portion of the proceeds will be going to the Los Angeles Neighbors Support Fund to help those affected by the ICE raids. Ch*nga La Migra.
Starts 9:30PM PT
