Currents (in LA)

CURRENTS is a performance series spearheaded by Hallie Cooper-Novack and Jane Casey Modderno. It features a group of fresh one-act plays written in response to an ethically sticky current event. For our third installment, each piece reacts to the phenomenon of tradwives— hot influencer ideologues who are going all in on 1950s-style housewifery and racking up millions of followers in the process.

This installment includes short-and-punchy plays by Maya Kazan, Franchesca Ramsey, Kate Thulin, and Claire Woolner — with musical interludes by Joyeur and the Waterloos
