  • South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (in LA) »

In the summer of 2020, during the height of a global pandemic, a ragtag group of clowns found a way to bring joy to the prospect of wearing masks.

CLOWN ZOO started as an open theatrical mask rehearsal — every Wednesday at noon at the old zoo at Griffith Park — but quickly evolved into a full-scale production — complete with (illegal) live music, costumes, large crowds and celebrity admirers. CLOWN ZOO helped usher in a new era of modern LA clown. Its members have gone on to create award-winning shows and perform all over the world, while also teaching the next generation of performers how to take bigger risks, break the rules and create art that defies description.

For one night only, CLOWN ZOO reunites at its home theater the Elysian. Come witness the clown show that helped started a comedy revolution.

Featuring:

Bill O’Neill
Chad Damiani
Christina Catherine Martinez
Corey Podell
Courtney Pauroso
Ian Bratschie

Juzo Yoshida
Max Baumgarten
Natalie Palamides (in spirit)
