CATHARSIS has been performed at the UCB Theater since 2017. It started as a way for improvisers to show off their acting chops, focusing less on the “game of the scene” and more on creating real situations with real people dealing with real issues. While there have been serious scenes and topics handled by performers, the show has remained relentlessly and deliriously funny!
Since 2016, CATHARSIS has held nearly 50 shows on two coasts, with over 500 featured performers.
