Cass only spoke English. Her family speaks Norwegian and Filipino (Tagalog).

Join Cass as she struggles to be understood (both figuratively and literally), as the first Big Mouthed Butch American kid in a very foreign family.

Maybe you’ll speak a little Norwegian, learn a little Tagalog or eat something that made her American classmates run from her house in horror? Who knows? It’s a comedic communication breakdown that’s still a Work In Progress. “Butch Baby. Big Mouth” was developed in Playing Yourself, The Elysian’s solo show devising workshop led by Artistic Director Jacquelyn Landgraf.
