Beth Stelling’s Comedy Punch-Up @ Netflix Is a Joke (in LA)
Hi! I’m comedian Beth Stelling. I headlined Omaha Comedy Festival a few years ago and they asked me to lead a stand-up workshop, which I don’t really [know how to] do. When considering what I could offer fellow comedians (novice or otherwise), I figured it was to listen and offer feedback in the form of a tag or punchline. So we did that on a Sunday morning with a really great group of varying levels of comedians and it was so fun!
Right now, I think things are feeling dark and roasting one another isn’t helping… therefore I offer you The Punch-upMic!
It’s a stand-up open mic where you can bring:
a bit that works and you love but want to make better
a late night set you’re perfecting
an idea you want to workout
you want to try stand-up for the first time!
All ages that are over 18 and experience levels welcome! Let’s get loose.
I, Beth Stelling, have credits if you feel like you need that. I started stand-up in Chicago eighteen years ago and have been in mostly L.A. (Improv and Comedy Store Paid Regular) but a little bit of NYC (passed at The Cellar) as well. I’ve got specials on HBO Max, Netflix, Showtime and Comedy Central but I feel like a good amount of my stuff is ending up on YouTube. I’ve performed late night sets on Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Pete Holmes Show and Last Call with Carson Daly (I’m 40). I’ve done punch-up on countless comedy movies like Good Boys and some where I signed my right to a credit away for cold hard cash. I’ve written on television shows like Crashing, I Love You America with Sarah Silverman, The Last O.G., Rick and Morty, Another Period and Strange Planet.
