Bad Netflix Movie Live! (in LA)

A brand new comedy show that celebrates the so-bad-it’s-good Netflix movie in all its glory. Bad Netflix Movie: Live! is a live table read of a made-for-streaming screenplay written by Los Angeles’ best writers.

Here’s where it gets *interesting* – each person was assigned a 10-page section of the script, but they were only allowed to read the previous 10 pages for context. The result is a Frankensteined, nonsensical movie that somehow would make perfect sense on Netflix.

(If you’re familiar with the Exquisite Corpse game, this is like that – but with movies, and way stupider.)

There’s nothing better than a bad Netflix Christmas movie, and we’re pulling out all the stops for Home Away From Home For The Holidays, a classic romp about a woman who lives in a Christmas-obsessed town – but hates Christmas! Maybe a house swap will solve her problems? We’ll find out alongside the audience when we read the whole thing for the first time at the show!

Hosts Dana Bell and Sarah Isaacson have wrangled a bang-up lineup for the Christmas show, including Christine Medrano (Icons @ UCB), Garrick Bernard (Hulu), and Laurie Magers (Netflix, CBS Showcase) and more!

This show is all the fun of watching a bad Netflix movie from your couch but you get to tell your friends you left the house!
