When it comes to dark subject matter, there’s no one that brings the sort of beautiful, hilarious, and healing light of comedy to touchy subjects quite like Maria Bamford. Whether it be mental health, class, religion, or anything else that might potentially get into upsetting territory with an audience, Maria has time and time again given us that visceral, ameliorating feeling that the best jokes, bits, observations can give in the darkest of hours.
This set she performed on The Late Late Show with James Corden is no different as Maria dives in head first into her recent personal experience with death, grief, loss, and having to deal with the more explicit personal effects of the deceased. It’s simply another magnificent set of stand-up comedy from one of the best to ever do it.
Please enjoy it and have a brighter day here.
