A stand-up show that’s just the hosts, for fans of up top comedy, hosted by open mic hosting legends and weekly comedy show host fixtures Alison Stevenson and Megan Koester. The two will host for so long, you’ll forget there were ever supposed to be other comics on the lineup!
For over a decade Alison Stevenson and Megan Koester have brought their dynamic, high energy hosting skills to stages throughout Los Angeles, from Silver Lake to…Silver Lake adjacent. They’ve had the honor of introducing dozens of successful comedians who have performed on legendary streaming platforms such as Seeso, Quibi, Cracked.com, Funny or Die, Superdeluxe, Whohaha, Only Fans TV, Vine, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch and RedNote.
Both are currently, PROUDLY, unrepped.
Alison Stevenson is a comedian and writer based in Los Angeles. Her debut TV appearance occurred on the Viceland stand-up series, “Flop House” where she told a joke about giving a man a panic attack with her thighs. She was also a “perfect woman” on the Adult Swim Streaming comedy series “The Perfect Women”. On top of stand-up she is a writer, most known as a VICE columnist wherein she wrote many viral articles for several years. She has also written for Huffington Post, Glamour, The Guardian, MAD Magazine, and more. In 2020 Audible released the original scripted podcast, “Like Mother”. Written by Alison, it is a semi-autobiographical, mother-daughter comedy starring her and Susie Essman of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”. Last but not least, Alison has self-released two albums: “Eat Me” in April 2017 and “Mommy Issues” in September 2019, as well as a comedy special in 2023 titled “VubiTV+ Presents: Alison Stevenson: Horny B*tch: A Comedy Special”, available to watch on Youtube.
Megan Koester is a writer, comedian and Daughter of the Golden West; LA Weekly (before it was taken over by right wingers, mind you) listed her as a “comic to watch,” saying her “sets are as dark, self-effacing and in-the-moment as they come.” She was forced to join the Screen Actor’s Guild, co-authored the The Indignities of Being a Woman with Merrill Markoe, and her Adult Swim special, The Last Open Mic at the End of the World, was recently removed from HBO Max (ain’t the consolidation of media grand?). Her most recent album, Comedy Minus Fun, was engineered by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago, IL and released solely via flash drive. Her personal website is inoffensivecomedian.com.
